The Problem
Barbershops are frequently run on a paper walk-in list, a separate appointment book, and commission split calculated by hand at the end of the day — so a new walk-in doesn't know how long the wait actually is, a booked customer's arrival isn't connected to the same queue the barber is actually working from, and a barber's daily earnings aren't known with confidence until someone adds up the receipts.
What We Built
A barbershop runs on walk-ins as much as bookings, and the number that matters most on any given hour is simple: who's free right now, and who's next. This system puts that on one board — each barber's station shows Available, With Customer, or On Break at a glance, and starting a customer pulls the next matching person straight out of the walk-in queue instead of a front-desk person cross-referencing a paper list. A booked appointment checks in the same way a walk-in joins — straight into the queue — so there's one real queue driving the chair, not two separate systems that can disagree. Completing a service logs the sale and splits it into the barber's commission automatically, so daily earnings are always current.
