The Problem
Small manufacturers often track machine output on a whiteboard, raw material stock in a storekeeper's notebook, and finished goods in yet another ledger — so nobody can say with confidence how much material is left until a line actually runs out mid-shift, a work order's real progress is whatever the supervisor remembers when asked, and finished goods counts drift from what's physically on the shelf because dispatches aren't logged against the same number production added to.
What We Built
A factory floor runs on three numbers that all have to move together: what a machine is producing right now, how much raw material that's consuming, and how much finished stock it's building up — and most shops track the three in three different places. This system connects them: assigning a work order to an idle line puts it to work, logging a production run on that line draws the exact material consumed for those units straight out of raw material stock, adds the good units straight into finished goods, records the defect count as a quality check, and — once the work order's target is hit — completes it and frees the line automatically, with zero separate reconciliation step.
