DineMaster (Restaurant Management System)

A complete restaurant platform built around a real brand — a customer-facing site with online ordering, table reservations, and live order tracking, plus a staff view covering the floor plan, kitchen display, and daily sales.

The Problem

Independent restaurants often run online ordering, table reservations, and kitchen operations as three unconnected tools — a generic ordering widget, a paper reservation book, and a kitchen that finds out about new orders from a printer or a shout across the room — so a guest's order status is a guess, a reserved table can still get sat over, and there's no single, live picture of how the floor and kitchen are actually doing right now.

What We Built

Most restaurant demos show either the customer side or the back-of-house — never both, and rarely with a real identity behind them. This one is built for Amber & Oak, a wood-fired bistro: guests browse a categorized menu with real food photography and dietary tags, build a running order, and watch it move through Received → Preparing → Ready → Served on a live tracker. Reserving a table is a real date/party-size/time-slot flow ending in a genuine confirmation screen. On the staff side, the same live state feeds a table floor plan grouped by zone, a kitchen display board that groups orders by status with one-tap advances, an orders queue, and a daily sales summary with a revenue-by-category chart — because a guest's order and the kitchen's ticket queue have to be the same order, not two disconnected systems pretending to agree.

Key Features

  • A categorized digital menu — Starters, Mains, Desserts, Drinks — with real food photography, dietary tags, and Chef's Picks, building a running order as items are added
  • A live order-status tracker (Received → Preparing → Ready → Served) matching the UX of real restaurant ordering apps, driven by the same order the kitchen is working from
  • A real reservation flow — date, party size, and an available-time-slot picker — ending in a genuine confirmation screen
  • A staff-side table floor plan grouped by zone (Main Floor, Patio, Bar, Private Room) with tap-to-cycle status, an orders queue, and a kitchen display board that groups active orders by status with one-tap advances
  • A daily sales summary with total orders, revenue, table occupancy, active reservations, and a revenue-by-category chart
  • One shared state across the whole demo — placing an order from the menu is the exact order the kitchen display and staff orders queue are already working from
