The Problem
Solar installation businesses often quote system sizes off a rough conversation rather than the customer's actual load, track panel and inverter stock in a notebook that's rarely reconciled against what a crew actually used on-site, and have no way to show a customer or their own team how a commissioned system is actually performing once it's live — so quotes are inconsistent, equipment shortages are discovered mid-install, and post-handover support starts from zero visibility into the system.
What We Built
A solar installer's business runs on a chain that most software treats as disconnected steps: a lead becomes a system size based on the customer's real electricity usage, that sizing becomes a quote, the quote becomes a scheduled install, and the install draws real panels, inverters, and batteries out of stock. This system keeps that chain intact — recording a site survey suggests a system size and quote from the customer's actual daily load instead of a guess, marking a project installed consumes the exact equipment that job needed from inventory, and commissioning a system turns it into a live entry on the monitoring dashboard with its own daily energy-output chart, the same day-to-day view a customer would expect from a real solar monitoring platform.
Key Features
- A lead-to-commissioning pipeline — Lead → Site Survey → Proposal Sent → Scheduled → Installed → Commissioned — with a dedicated action for each stage
- Site survey capture that suggests system size, panel count, inverter rating, and battery capacity directly from the customer's daily load, fully editable before saving
- Equipment inventory with reorder-level gauges per component, drawn down automatically by the exact quantity a project needed the moment it's marked installed
- Installation scheduling with crew assignment and a confirmed date
- Live system monitoring per commissioned customer — a 14-day energy-output chart, today's output against estimated capacity, and system uptime
- Post-installation service request logging and resolution tracking per customer system
